Our Story

Throughout his career in actuarial consulting and reinsurance, our founder was consistently drawn to innovative concepts and the pursuit of something genuinely excellent. The ideas and opportunities identified were positively received. However, execution capacity was often directed toward urgent deliverables, leaving limited space to pursue initiatives that required deeper focus and longer-term investment.

As technology accelerated, and the gap between what was possible and what was being built continued to grow, a question emerged: instead of writing another report or recommendations about the products and capabilities that should exist, why not build them?

The search began for a technology partner with exceptional technical ability, and who shares the same drive to make that vision a reality. When that partnership was found, Sarya was born.

Two people. No inflated budgets. Just a shared belief that better products, smarter tools, and more ambitious ideas were possible, and a commitment to bringing them to life.

Mohamad Zeort

Co-Founder & CEO

Mohamad is an actuary and mathematician with extensive experience across actuarial consulting and reinsurance. Notably, he led the regional actuarial function at Allianz Partners during a pivotal high-growth period that included four consecutive years of 51% compound annual growth (CAGR) in the top line, while consistently meeting bottom line targets.

He brings a rare combination to the InsurTech space: an academically top tier actuary who is equally invested in the non-technical elements of the insurance ecosystem. Following specialised training in customer experience excellence, Mohamad developed an acute focus on the micro details of user interaction, a mindset he channels directly into Sarya, designing intuitive interfaces and differentiated products that address the gaps he identified as an industry practitioner. Across his professional and personal life, Mohamad is widely recognised for his integrity, a core value that shapes Sarya's transparent approach to business.

Youssef Lahoud

Co-Founder & CTO

Youssef is a Software Architect and Engineering Leader with over a decade of experience designing scalable infrastructure, building robust software solutions, and leading engineering teams across companies in Europe, the United States, and Canada. He combines deep hands-on expertise across cloud infrastructure, backend data systems, and intuitive product interfaces.

His track record includes Dinesty, a restaurant discovery and reservation platform that he co-founded and solely designed, architected, and developed end-to-end.

As Sarya’s Founding Engineer, Youssef leads the technical vision and architecture behind the platform, establishing a secure, scalable, and maintainable foundation for its long-term growth.
